Scanner and printer = copier
Who owns a scanner and a printer can combine them by iCopy to form a copier. Just lay in
the original, determine the number of copies, press the button "Start copy process" and
the copy is ready. In the image settings you can use a regulator to adjust the brightness
and the contrast, the quality as well as the size. iCopy provides black and white, gray
scale or color copies. The preview function allows you to check if the document has been
put into the scanner correctly. Instead of printing the a document directly it also can
be scanned as a GIF-, JPG-, PNG- or BMP- image file (Scan to File). If the program does
not start, you will need Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 or higher.

An image viewer with a great variety of functions
Imgv is an image viewer with a great variety of functions. It supports formats like JPEG,
GIF, PNG, TIFF, BMP, PCX, TGA etc. The handling of the program surface is quite
unconventional. The "menu" consists of function indications strung one below the other.
With the right mouse button you can displace the list anywhere you want. Once you have
selected a function you return to the menu pressing the ESC key. Choose one image folder
with the directory browser. Use the right mouse button if you want to open several
directories. A click on "Load" will guide you to the display screen. Imgv is also able to
extract images from the Internet (Extract from Web). The downloaded images can be
transferred to a play list and be reproduced. They can be contemplated or as thumbnails
or as a slide show. If required, the pictures can be turned, zoomed or mirrored. To
display the image information the tool is able to use the EXIF-data of your pictures
originated from a digital camera. Among "Edit - Preferences" you will actually find the
program options. Here, you may modify the default window size and the screen background
color of the program window i.a.

Offers countless image effects
The image editor ImLab stands out due to its abundance of effects which permit you to
deform, alienate, amplify and transform images. The formats JPEG2000 (JP2), GIG, JPG,
BMP, PNG, TIF, ICO, PCX, TGA, SGI, RAS and PNM are supported by the tool for both opening
and saving. Additionally it allows you to process single frames of animated GIFs as well
as AVI videos and then save them in the original format again. With ImLab you are able to
open several pictures simultaneously each of them displayed in a separate window. In
order to have a better survey, these windows can be placed horizontally or vertically
side by side. With each application of an effect a new picture is created which makes it
possible to save the original. Use "File - Capture" to create screenshots of the pictures
that are edited by your graphic board.

Design vector graphics (SVG)!
Inkscape offers you a great function amplitude to design vector graphics (SVG). This is
why it is the ideal solution for creating charts, technical diagrams, logos, icons etc.
These are only a few of the countless features: elemental forms, paths, text, marks,
color gradients, cloning, alpha-dissolve, transformation, gradients, grouping, node
editing, layer, text-on-path and SVG XML - editing. For the image import you can use
among others the JPG-, BMP-, GIG-, ICO-, PNG-, TGA- AND TIF- format. For the export PNG
or other vector based formats are available.

Creates Three-Dimensional Models of the Human Body
MakeHuman turns you into an artist. Just a few mouse clicks and a perfectly designed 3D
model of the human body will be created. You are able to render your creation as a TIF
picture or export it as a Wavefront OBJ format or as a Collada DAE file. The latter is a
format based on XML which enables 3D programs to exchange digital content in a simple way
and without loss. Through the menu bar you get to the settings. In 'Character Settings'
you are able to modify the weight, muscles, age and size. In 'Body Details' you can
adjust the body measurements and in 'Poses' the position of certain parts of the body
such as torso, shoulder, finger etc. Use the mouse wheel to zoom the object, the left
mouse button to rotate it and the right one for scrolling.
How to render it:
For rendering a TIF picture you have to install the 3D renderer
Aqsis. In case you
have clicked 'Rendering' but then get the message that the renderer could not be found,
you have to tell MakeHuman the path to Aqsis as follows: press the O key. The MakeHuman
console appears. Enter aqs, please, and then confirm with ENTER. After pressing ENTER you
should receive a confirmation message.

Dabble in the Art of Pixel
mtPaint represents Mark Tyler's enhancement of Microsoft Paint. In addition to BMP; TIFF;
JPG or PNG bitmap images the program also enables you to save short movies as animated
GIFs. For a new picture you have to select from Indexed Palette, 24 bit RGB mode and
Greyscale. Then you have to string together one pixel to the next until a picture is
produced ... Well, with mtPaint it's not as laborious as this! After all, the program is
well equipped with many tools. Which of the more than 80 paint brushes do you want to
use? Which of all the pixel patterns fits best? With [Edit - Choose Brush or Choose
Pattern you access the corresponding window. On the screen, you are able to manage your
work very exactly using the arrow keys to move the cursor from pixel to pixel. mtPaint
provides further features with Effects, Masks, Channels, amongst others. Especially for
animated GIFs you will have to use several layers. In 'Set Key Frame' you determine the
time interval of the frame display; other parameters are defined in 'Configure Animation'
in the Layers menu. "Grab Screenshot" takes a photo of the present screen content and
uses it as the background for a new picture. The included English language manual in HTML
introduces you to world of pixel art.

Typeface Observer
With Opcion Font Viewer you do not only regard all installed typefaces. You may also scan
typeface folders on CDs. Each typeface can be displayed in bold letters, italics and/or
underlined as well as in diverse type sizes. You collect your favorites in the register
'Favorite Fonts'. For a better survey, there are 10 bars by default which show one type
size each. In case the program does not start, you will need
the Java Runtime Environment
1.6 or higher.
