Archiving Notes for certain Areas like Quotation, Source Code etc.
Incollector is specialized in archiving notes for certain areas. The categories include
the source code, course of conversation, URL, serial number, citation, note and word,
which means the translation of a word into any language. In order to prepare a note, you
first have to select the adequate category. Please, add catchwords which the search
function will take account of. Provide an additional comment for the note, please, as
well as an evaluation from 0 to 3 points. For a better survey it possibly makes sense to
establish a search folder. Therefore you open the pop-up menu "All the entries" and go to
"Create folder". With a click on "Add conditional" you link it with one or more
conditions. Only notes which satisfy one or all of the conditions appear in the folder.
This way you are able to assign all entries of the word category to a directory. The
search folders can be listed on the left. A statistic shows how many entries exist in the
categories word, notes etc. The export function enables you to prepare a data backup.
In case the program does not start you will need Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher.
Income and Spending Management for your Private Budget
jGnash provides a simple income and spending management for your private budget including
diverse possibilities for evaluation. The program consists of three modules: Accounts,
Register and Reminders. In the Accounts area all account balances are listed. You are
also able to create new accounts here. In the Register you book your financial
transactions. In the third area you enter any bookings you want jGnash to remind you of
on time. The data can be saved in encoded form and be protected additionally by a
password. The monthly balance may be exported as a CSV file for further use in other
programs. jGnash transfers data from Quicken (Qif) and GnuCash. The graphical and tabular
statistics offer informative evaluations which can not only be printed but also be saved
as an image file. The preview menu offers diverse colorings for the program surface.

A Combination of Word Processing and Data Bank
A tidy house, a tidy mind! If you want to administrate your books, cds, disk records,
cooking recipes or texts on the pc there is no way around this multifunctional keynote.
The program represents a full text data bank, thus a practical combination of word
processing and databank. With Look & Feel, which is similar to the Windows Explorer, you
set up single categories first and then make the corresponding entries. Besides of
entering the text you may also embed complete file contents, Internet links as well as
images in the BMP, GIF, and WMF formats. Texts, integrated with Drag & Drop or
self-written, can be provided with the usual formattings just like a word processing. If
wanted, the background of each page can be colored differently so to distinguish one page
from the other. By a specific arrangement of categories you are able to create a clearly
laid-out classification system. Once the data bank is tightly filled the integrated
full-text search for a certain catch word helps you to relocate your entries.
A complete office package for the everyday office life
LibreOffice is a complete office package including word processing, spreadsheet program,
presentation program, formula editor, drawing tools and a databank module. Though all
programs are independent, there is hardly any difference in look-and-feel. So you will be
ably to handle well all different program parts very soon. By default, LibreOffice saves
all documents in the Openoffice format which is an international standard for Openoffice
documents. If wanted, the export as pdf is possible as well. The program is able to import
different formats such as Microsoft’s DOC and DOCX for editing. The included Extension
manager simplifies any program extensions.
Saves and administers big amounts of data
The popular SQL databank server saves and administers big amounts of data which several
users are able to access to. For each databank, protection by a password is available.
MySQL arranges the data records in tables which can be linked between each other. You
start the integrated 'Client' in the start menu with 'MySQL Command Line Client'. You
will find further command line tools for server administration in the bin-directory. This
includes mysqladmin (processes, admission authority etc.), mysqlcheck (databank
integrity), mysqldump (data back-up) and mysqlimport (data import).
phpMyAdmin
is especially suited for the administration of MySQL databanks on a web-surface. In case you
prefer to use MySQL on a graphical surface, we recommend the
HeidiSQL.
Reminds you of important tasks
My Todo reminds you of important tasks. First, you have to create a new to-do list
(Create a new todolist). Either you expand the list by sub-lists (Add Todo) or create
further lists on the same layer (Add Project). Each entry offers space for any text
(Description). In 'Todo Properties' you tell the tool if a scheduled project has not been
started yet or if it has been finished already. In 'Priority' you emphasize the
importance of the entry. Finally, there is 'Reminder' which reminds you of upcoming
activities. You are able to determine the time for reminder on the second. Doing so, it
is important to enter the designated day and time first, and only after that select 'At
the time specified' in the 'Type of reminder' pop-up menu. Following this sequence, the
ToDo-List window appears at the designated time. Also, you can open this window clicking
on 'Open the Todolist window'. With F8 you can stick an entry as a yellow notepad onto
your desktop. The disadvantage is that each notepad also is displayed in the taskbar
which soon becomes confusing this way. With 'Tools - Settings - Behaviour' you activate
the automatic start with Windows. In the settings register window you can select 'Hide
done...' to have done activities still displayed as crossed out. Then, after a program
reboot, they won't appear any more. If you want the last to-do list to be opened
automatically with each reboot, you have to select 'Remember the last opened Todofile' in
'File Settings' in the settings register. The x-button minimizes the program into the
tray bar, with 'File - Quit' it is finished. The lists can be exported as RTFs. In
addition to that, the program is able to print either all data or just the tree structure.
With 'Sync Todolist' you may align the program data with another pc by the Internet. For
this purpose, you need to register yourself for a free account on the MyTodo Homepage. In
case the program doesn't start you will need Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 or higher.
Professional Software for the Office
OpenOffice .org is professional software for the office. It offers multifunctional word
processing (Writer), excellent spreadsheet processing (Calc), a powerful presentation program
(Impress) and a drawing tool (Draw) which enables you to create from simple charts up to dynamic
3D illustrations and special effects. Finally, there is also a math-module, an easy to use formula editor.

Integrates Form Elements into PDF Files
Although PDF Forms Designer is intended for designing PDF documents, its strong point
rather consists in integrating form elements into already existing PDF documents and
editing them. Import a PDF file by the file menu, please. The pages are edited in the
designer area. Decide, whether you want to integrate a simple text, pictures or form
elements such as a check box, text fields, buttons etc. Have you decided on a picture?
So, draw the entry 'Image' from the object library to the page in 'Designer'. Now you
have to enter the path to a picture in the object register. In 'Sizing' you determine
whether the picture is to be shown in its original size or has to be adapted to the
object frame. In 'Preview' you can get a view of which effect a certain modification
would have on the PDF document. All new objects are displayed in 'Hierarchy' for a better
survey. In 'Script Editor' you are able to connect a JavaScript with a form element.

Embedding Javascript shows how it works exactly. For saving a modified PDF
file, please go to 'Publish PDF Document' in the file menu. In order to use the program
the Java Runtime Environment
1.6 or higher is presumed.
A Home Design Program with two or three dimensional view
You are just moving into another house or flat? Not only under these circumstances you
will have to deal with questions like 'Where should I place the lounge cabinet and how
long may it be? 'or 'Is there still enough space for my PC desk?' Sweet Home 3D has been
developed so that you may not only depend on your mental imagination when arranging rooms.
First of all, you have to specify the size of the room accurate to a centimeter (Plan -
Create walls). Use the mouse to draw up the side walls on the draft according to the
predetermined dimensions. On the left side, the program provides a listing of objects
(furniture, windows, doors etc.) which are already assigned to the corresponding rooms
such as the kitchen or the living room. With drag & drop you integrate one of these
objects into the draft. With a double click on one of the objects you are able to edit
its properties. Bottom left-hand all integrated objects are listed with their exact
measurements. The three-dimensional view gives you an idea of what the room will really
look like. Using the mouse you may have a different look from another point of view.
Please select 'Virtual visit' in the context menu of the 3-D view. This will activate a
camera in the draft view which allows you to have a look at the arrangement of the
furniture from any possible point of view. Each room view can be printed or stored as a
pdf. The
online library offers further furniture objects for download which you can
import afterwards with Sweet Home 3D. The program has been written in Java and installs
Java Runtime 1.6 environment by itself.
