CrystalDiskInfo provides information about the storage drives installed in a Windows computer and can help users recognise warning signs before a drive fails completely.
It reads diagnostic information reported by compatible hard drives and SSDs through S.M.A.R.T.
Instead of presenting only technical raw values, CrystalDiskInfo provides an overview of information such as drive temperature, operating time and health-related attributes.
This can be useful when a computer begins behaving unusually or when an older drive has been in continuous use for a long period. The program is not a replacement for backups and cannot predict every failure.
